The Arti che vanno per via nella città di Venezia (1753, 1770, 1785, etc.), by Gaetano Zompini (1700–1778), contains sixty engravings of common, mostly poor people, peddling their trades on the streets of Venice in the mid-1700s.

Tuto el dì ziro, e vago via menando La Mola in sta cariola, e a forte crio Gua cortelini, el Gua de quando in quando.
Translation
All day I circulate, and wander around
The stone in the wheel-barrow, and a powerful cry
Knife-sharpener, it sharpens them every once in a while.
Notes
The Venetian guar means to sharpen knives, while a gùa is the one who does it.
