The Arti che vanno per via nella città di Venezia (1753, 1770, 1785, etc.), by Gaetano Zompini (1700–1778), contains sixty engravings of common, mostly poor people, peddling their trades on the streets of Venice in the mid-1700s.

Vegno fin da Cadore: el mio mestier Xe impaggiar, e da niovo far careghe Naspi, e corli de legno de Salgher.
Translation
I come from Cadore: my trade
Is to repair with straw, and make new chairs
Skein winders and swifts made of willow.
Notes
Carega means chair, and a conza careghe is someone who repairs chairs.
The town of Cadore is at the start of the Dolomites.
Besides repairing and making chairs, the conza careghe also made and repaired some utensils for textile work: skein winders for making hanks of thread, and swifts to unwind the hanks of thread slowly.
These utensils were made of salgher — willow.
